The purpose of these rules and policies are to increase safety and enjoyment of all guests.

1. RESERVATIONS

Check-in time is 2pm. Check out time 11am. Reservation rates are based on double occupancy. Please be aware that Beehive Campground strives to provide desired site numbers but they are not guaranteed and sometimes need to be changed.

2. CODE OF CONDUCT

QUIET HOURS: 10 PM to 8 AM. The following activities are prohibited: growing and/or consuming cannabis, excessive consumption of alcohol, abusive or offensive language, use of generators except during a power outage, vehicle idling, and any illegal activity. Violations of these rules may result in immediate eviction from the campground. Guests are responsible for the conduct of their visitors.

3. GATE & ACCESS

Gate may be closed from 10pm to 7am. Please contact the office if you require access within these hours.

4. PETS & PET OWNERS

Pursuant to this Agreement, the Guest may keep the aforementioned pet(s) on the site, provided that the Guest strictly abides by the terms and conditions of this Agreement. Notwithstanding any approval granted pursuant to this Agreement, Beehive Campground, may, at its sole discretion, revoke this approval, at any time. The Guest hereby confirms that the pet(s) is spayed and/or neutered and vaccinations are up to date. Guest agrees to the following pet owner terms: to clean up pet feces immediately upon occurrence and dispose of it properly in waste receptacles, to keep cats or dogs on a leash no longer than 6 feet when outside their vehicles or RV, to not leave their dog(s) tethered while unattended, to keep tethers at a reasonable length in order to prevent pets from accessing adjacent sites, to not allow their pets in any of the buildings on the property (except certified service dogs), to not use the Campground’s laundry facilities for pet items such as blankets and bedding, to not leave any pet food where it is accessible to pests or wildlife, and to pay for any and all damages caused to the property or the property of others. The Guest understands and agrees, that if the pet is aggressive, noisy, unruly, or annoying, it will be required to be removed the from the property and may be cause for cancellation of the license to occupy and eviction from the Campground.

5. WASHROOMS AND LAUNDRY FACILITIES

RVs must be equipped with working on-board washroom facilities. Laundry facilities are open year-round. Washrooms and showers are open May 1st to September 30th. Use of septic friendly products is required. Use of environmentally friendly and unscented products is encouraged. Guests are required to use washrooms and laundry facilities properly and to keep them clean, for everyone’s health and benefit.

6. FIRE LANE

All roadways and lanes must be kept clear at all times for fire and other emergency access. Two feet of clearance is required on either side of Campground roads. Vehicles impeding the fire lane will be towed at vehicle owner’s expense. Vehicles can be reclaimed at Mill Bay Towing 250-743-1552.

7. WASTE & RECYCLING

Beehive Campground participates in recycling programs therefore all Guests are expected to use the bins provided to recycle according to local regulations. All waste and recycling must be placed in the large metal waste and recycling bins currently located by the office. Personal outdoor waste bins are not permitted on RV sites. Campground waste bins are for typical RV and camping garbage only. Large items such as furniture is prohibited. Fisher Road Recycling is available for excess and oversize waste, located at 1355 Fisher Rd. Cobble Hill. Importing of garbage from outside sources is prohibited. Removing items from waste and recycling containers is prohibited. Leaving items beside the bins or dumping of any illegal items is prohibited and may result in termination of this Agreement.

8. SEPTIC SYSTEM

RVs must be properly sealed to the sewage outlets with RV certified sewer hoses and connectors. Hoses must be in good condition and adequately slope toward the outlet. Rigid pipe is not permitted. Only domestic sewage is permitted to be disposed of at any sewage outlet. Septic-friendly products are required in your RV, and all park facilities.

9. WATER SYSTEM

The water system is privately owned, and Beehive Campground provides water as it available, but water service is not guaranteed. It is recommended that guests keep a supply of drinking water on hand at all times and in case of emergencies. Guest’s RV water holding tanks must be in working condition. Use of water for anything other than bona-fide RV camping purposes, is not permitted. Seasonal water restrictions may apply.

10. FEEDING WILDLIFE

Feeding of wildlife is prohibited. Beehive Campground has undertaken ongoing initiatives to help control pests and non-native animal species, and to naturally restore wildlife habitat on the property.

11. PROPANE TANKS

All propane tanks must be Department of Transportation (DOT) certified. Propane tank size must not exceed 40L, must be portable, and must be safely secured in accordance to BC Safety Standards Act and Regulation.

12. COMMERCIAL ENTERPRISES

Selling, soliciting, peddling or commercial enterprises on the property are not permitted. This includes the sale of vehicles or RVs. Signs are not permitted.

13. INTERNET

Beehive Campground is equipped with wireless internet. It is intended for light use. Signal strength varies throughout the park and due to conditions outside of the control of Beehive Campground, therefore internet access and quality is not guaranteed. If you are a Rogers Communications customer and have your device, you can contact Rogers Communications to transfer service to your Site. If you would like to initiate personal internet services, contact Rogers Communications at 1-888-472-2222.

14. MAIL DELIVERY

As a courtesy, Guests may have mail forwarded to Beehive Campground. This mail will be forwarded to your site provided there is a place for you to receive it next to your door. To receive mail, it must include the following information: Your name & site number, followed by Beehive Campground, 780 Kilmalu Road, Mill Bay, BC V0R2P2. Mail forwarding service is not guaranteed by Beehive Campground. Private mail boxes can be rented at Cobble Hill Post Office or Mill Bay Pharmasave Post Office.

15. WINTER CONDITIONS

Beehive Campground is subject to winter conditions including subzero temperatures and snowfall. Heated hoses are recommended during the winter months. Beehive Campground does not take responsibility for snow removal from either Sites or the Campground roads.
